And to think you didn't have to get stitches or drive to N.C. to get the jersey this time! Excellent race and congratulations!

I must be getting better - you didn't pass me this time!!

Dan,
That is a great way to celebrate a birthday!! You will remember this one. How much does strategy count in Cyclo-Cross?

My strategy was to attack from the start and try to just maintain the gap on Torre. The first two laps were the hardest I've ridden all year, but I played it safe and ran the entire beach each lap. Torre rode into the beach and was gaining a couple of seconds until about the third lap when he stopped suddenly and left a full body impression in the sand! After that his chase effort lost some steam so I eased up on the final two laps plus I didn't want to get tangled up in the 35+ battle taking place just about 20-30 seconds ahead of me.

TC, Trish got a photo of you riding through the beach and you made it look downright easy!

Good Show! Is there such a thing as a tandem cyclocross? I will sit in the back and you can win it.
