Macabre Aug 19

This was the last Sunday Macabre ride probably for this year, or at least until cyclocross season is over for me. Clay came back with a new bike, he is strong but new to group cycling and has a learning curve to deal with, but you have to admire his spirit and willingness to take his licks and learn. Jim has the undisputed world record for most flat tires in a two-week period. He can fix them pretty fast but we're going to have to buy him a case of CO2 cartridges and save that hand pump for fending off dogs or something else. Marshall missed the start but kept his head down and sure enough caught up to the peloton which was stopped for Jim's second flat. Theron showed his improving form with many consistant strong efforts at the front meanwhile Jeff stays focused on his patented Lawrence Road and Stock Gap Road attacks.

Numbers are probably inaccurate because of all the stopping and starting...
