Chew Toys

Puppies like to chew on things. Every day there is a new collection of thoroughly gnawed sticks and pine cones on the deck. The ropes, balls and chew toys in the house are gradually eroding away too.

Last night Miles chose to sleep in the garage with the other dogs rather than in his crate. I thought things were fairly puppy-proof out there so it would probably be OK. Unfortunately the cycling helmet had been left on the weight bench and the salt-flavored pads and straps were too much to resist.

Time for a new helmet...

Dan,
Too bad about the helmet but it is replaceable.
I am working on getting some real estate info to Rachel for finding a place in the Baton Rouge area.
Also, Arlene just gave me a folder of drawings you did while in the 9th grade. They are rather interesting.

Oh no... I am so sorry.

Did you reprimand him? In the past when he has chewed things that are not meant to be chewed I hold the thing and tell him no in my meanest growling dog voice while shaking the thing in his face. He usually gets the point but he is still a puppy.

I will send some new chew things his way.

Dad, I have no idea what I was drawing in 9th grade. Seems like I either give away or eventually lose all that stuff.

Dan,
Two of your drawings are quite interesting. One is a pencil sketch of a guitarist really reaching out in his playing. The other a drawing of high powered time trial racer that has the front end curved upwards as the power is applied to the machine.
