Run Up

This morning was in the low 70's, 80% humidity and the ground was still wet from last night's rain. Another fine day to conquer the hills of the Ravine Trail even if it is a little like running in a sauna. I saw a fairly large copperhead up near the top of the big dirt climb and managed to bypass it before the dogs spotted it. We stopped for a brief photo-op near some of the ancient stone piles. My camera has red-eye reduction but dogs get green-eye from the flash.

Um... hello... Miles. Miles, over here! Miles! You and your obsession with pleasing people rather than looking good in photos...

Miles was watching our backs, we all keep an eye out for critters and such back in the woods... but yes, he is a dedicated hard-working animal with strong hunting instincts. I'm sure some people would pay lots of money for a dog like that.
