Old Tanners Bridge

It was a nice day for a solo, easy-to-moderate 48 mile ride. Basically it's the regular Sunday "Dans Macabre" route, but with the old Tanners Bridge option. Haven't been across this aging bridge in quite a while, it spans the Apalachee River. A few years ago I lobbied for the Walton County DOT to resurrect the retired bridge for pedestrian and cycling traffic, but no-go.

Here's the actual route map.

On a side note, I like the camera on my new phone, the Samsung Solstice.

The view from one end of the bridge

The view from the other end of the bridge. Not exactly confidence instilling remnants of wood there.
