Blackjack Closed July 25-27

Sunday Ride: Dean and I met Doug at his house and headed out around the Blackjack Loop. Each taking turns at the front steadily increasing the pace until someone cracked. Dean dropped off first on some rolling hills but recovered well after rejoining. Doug cracked next following the Mt Moriah & Flowery Branch climbs and triggered by a drivetrain malfunction. Eventually we were rolling along well again, but had to dismount and hike around the construction on Blackjack Road. On the way back home, Doug took off on a long flyer and took some risks through traffic. Dean's response seamed too little too late so I decided to bridge up by myself. Everyone's fitness and skill appears to be improving and that makes it more fun for all of us.
