2008 GTC kit

Only one ride in it so far but my initial impressions are that the cut/fit/sizing is far better than last year's also the construction (flat lock seams, tagless labels, etc) and materials are a noticeable improvement.

This morning it was a windy and wet ride and the jacket passed the wind and water resistance test while remaining breathable and dry inside thanks to some well placed vents.

The bibs fit great all the way around and appear to be very durable. When I first jumped on the saddle the new gel-spot chamois felt like it might be a bit more cushy than my battle-hardened bum requires, but after an hour or so of riding in soggy conditions I decided this would definitely be the chamois for long rides and epic conditions. Andy suggested that he might want to lower his saddle a couple millimeters or so because of the chamois, but I didn't notice any issues with position. Time will tell but this chamois might become a favorite for many riders.

The 2008 kit looks cool. The distinctive GTC cobbles are prominent and the sponsors logos work well with the overall design and colors.

Dan,
Between the bikes and the outfits you appear to be having a great time expressing your artistry and safety knowledge. It is obvious where your passion is centered.
It is time for an illustrated book.

A couple of weeks ago I came up with some titles for cycling books in the style of Doctor Seuss.

"How the Grinch Stole a Colnago"
"Tyke on a Bike"
"Green Tires and Pavé"
"Vlaanderen I Am"

Those would be easy to write and fun to illustrate but I don't know if there would be much of a market for them, at least not in this country.
