I changed my mind at the last second and did the 45+ race instead of the A's but it was not easy having barely 4 hours of sleep between working and racing.
As a result of some early crashes I found myself solo leading the 45+ race until about 2 laps to go when Torre (GTC) and Brad Harper (Cycleworks) bridged the gap to me. I decided to sit in and wait for the sprint finish which was on the road. As our leading trio approached the end of the final lap Torre and Brad got around a lapped rider but I was delayed and had to pass in a risky spot before it was too late, only to take my first tumble for the day. No real harm done, but had to get up and settle for a third place finish. Torre got second and Brad won the sprint.
