GA TT Review
The course was 40k and the surface varied with some rough sections and a number of sneaky little potholes. My only real age-group competitor, Phil Bonfiglio (RBM), crashed when he hit a pothole about a kilometer before the turnaround. I was coming back the other way and had to brake hard to keep from hitting him as he slid across the road. I was just about to stop when he let out some loud expletives. OK, he wasn't dead, sounded mad and might get up and resume racing so I decided to go. Checking back over my shoulder it looked like Phil had quit so I lost some motivation to ride hard after that.
My GTC teammates, Bob V. and Shawn T., also scored GA state champ titles in their respective age groups.
