Joe Lee has been playing drums professionally for the past 10 years. He attended East Carolina University as a percussion major and gained his understanding of jazz and contemporary music concepts under the tutelage of Carroll Dashiell (bassist for Bobby Watson, Maceo Parker, Gladys Knight and many others).

Joe then moved to Atlanta to attend the Atlanta Institute of Music where he began to get involved in the local freelancing music scene through the help of the faculty there. Having been in Atlanta for 5 years he has been working steadily with artists ranging in the styles of Rock, Pop, Jazz and R&B, as well as doing occasional recording sessions.

Joe is enjoying working as a professional musician in the Atlanta area and hopes to continue avoiding any sort of actual employment.
